Technology Director - Development - Honolulu

The Technology Director will be part of the company's management team, and will oversee the Technology team, which is tasked with programming and development of web-based applications and systems.

 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 


Manage the technology team so that objectives (technical, project, and financial) are met.


Standardize best practices, manage processes in collaboration with other disciplines.


Guide the team to determine appropriate application architecture and design, develop, integrate and debug required components.


Participate in and guide application/system design planning and discussions.


Work with the project management team to manage deadlines and resources.


Comprehend user business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding with technical skills and serve as the lead architect in developing technology solutions to solve client?s problems.


Work with the team to develop proposals for new and existing clients.


 
General Management


Represent the needs of the technology team in policy-making opportunities within the company, and as a member of the management team.


Work with clients in a respectful way while helping them achieve their objectives.


Act as a representative of the company at all times.


 
REQUIREMENTS:


Hands-on experience in coding


High level verbal and written communication skills


Ability to mentor a team on new technology implementations


Experience in the consulting environment with an ability to understand issues and obtain consensus


Strong strategic, conceptual and analytical thinking skills


Ability to develop budgets for overall management of the department and for specific projects


Ability to analyze technical requirements for projects and explain these to clients and team members


Proposal development and presentation skills
